Mixed Media Card Tutorial-Thank You

Hello Dear Friends,
Today I'll be sharing Mixed Media Card tutorial.
So Lets start:
1. I had taken this base from the packaging box size 6"x6"

 2. Then tear some paper

3. After tearing, take some scrap pattern paper and paste it on the base and apply white gesso

4. After applying white gesso, dry it with heat gun and then apply acrylic colour.

5. Make a hole on the top left side and bottom right side and tied with twine.

6. And then embellish your card.

Mixed Media Card Tutorial -You Are Simply The Best

Hello Dear Friends,

Today I'll share mixed media card tutorial, which i really enjoyed working. I'm in love with the Lindy's magical these days and that is what i have created this card. So lets share the tutorial.

Tutorial:

1. Take white card-stock size 6"x 6". Black base size is 6.25"x 12.5".

2. Apply white gesso on the base.

3. Sprinkle some Lindy's ink randomly and then spray some water.

4. Now take stencil ( i had taken Rebecca Baer stencil-enchanted vine/small) and apply modelling paste and let it dry.

5. Now sprinkle some Lindy's magical and spray water. Let it dry. 

6. To highlight the stencil i had applied art alchemy acrylic paint-opal magic violet-green (this was real magic)

6. Take black archival ink and do stamping randomly, and embellish it according to your choice.

7. Add sentiment, ribbon with twine. And your card is ready!!!

Tutorial-Mixed Media Tag-Smile

Hello Friends,

Shalini Pahwa here from artforte. Today I present to you a tutorial on Mixed Media Tag-Days Like these make me Smile. I have used various techniques and accessories to make this tag capture the feelings of the mood. I here present brief steps to design this lovely inspiration.

Step 1:I had taken tag size: 4"x7.5", applied gesso and then apply sand texture paste with stencil.

 Step 2: Once dry, sprinkle Lindy's magical and then spray water. After it dries arrange your embellishments and apply gesso.

After you apply gesso, again play with the magicals,cheese cloth,art-stones, glitter and beads.

Dear Friends,

The frame is made on the reverse of a canvas which gives space for using your creativity. I have used butterfly stampings and fussy cut them, black gesso, Dusty Attic acrylic paints with cuts outs of chip-board, jute twine, cheese cloth, finnabair art stones and trinkets to make this reverse canvas.

Living Life to the fullest-Mixed Media Card Tutorial

Life is a boon – not to be wasted. Each day of our life presents a new opportunity to live it to the fullest. Do what makes you happy. Give love and spread laughter.

Today I am presenting a Mixed Media Card on the theme of “Living Life to the fullest”. The theme is inspired by my belief that we live only once and should be an inspiration to others to live this God’s gift each day as if this is the last day of our life.

For me life is full of colors. And that’s what I have used to create this “Lively” mixed media card. Below are the steps to create this lovely piece of art. Hope this card inspires all of you to consider Life as a one-time offer… Use it well and creatively. Broaden your perspective and Inspire others by being the mirror to reflect positive thoughts.

Tutorial on Mixed Media Card

1- Take Smooth white cardstock or canvas paper, mister, shimmer mist, dusty attics acrylicpaint.

 2- Spray water on the card-stock.

 3- Then randomly spray Cosmic Shimmer Mist-Blue Lime, Riviera Blue, Golden Fish.

 4- Then take stencil and dab with Soot Dusty Attics acrylic paint.

 5- After using stencil, use finnabair stamp with archival black ink.

 6- After stamping, fill the circle stamp with Sunshine and Jungle green dusty attics acrylic paint .

And then embellish it according to your choice.

FLY HIGH inspirational tag

“Believe in others… You may fly for a day…

Believe in yourself… You would SOAR for a lifetime…”

Yes friends… Inspired by the above saying of a famous poet, I present to you my new mix-media tag – FLY HIGH.

“All our dreams can come true. We just need to have courage and perseverance to pursue them”. I have used elements of earth (like corrugated paper, mesh tape etc.) and elements of sky (like golden beads and feathers) to drive home the effects of flying high for your dreams while remain connected to your roots.

Below is step by step guide of how to create this tag :

 Step 1

On a die-cut of tag, apply dusty attics color of your choice and as per the effect that you wish to give to your creation and randomly applied stamping on the base.

Step 2

Using Spellbinder embossing folder I gave an embossing effect to the tag. To highlight the embossed design, I have then applied colors using dry brush.(sorry could not click the picture)

Step 3

After the base of the tag has been created, I have used mix of mesh tape, cheese cloth and corrugated sheet to create a peculiar earthy look of the tag.On this earthy media I have sprinkled golden micro beads on soft matt gel

Step 4

I also used a MDF feather painted white with dusty attic colors,applied stamping also. On it I have applied glossy accent sprinkled with diamond dust to create a heavenly look on the earthy base(it is not visible on the pics)

Step 5

The sentiment “Fly High” was pasted in the end. Finnabair Glass glitter-Gold Rush) was applied on the edges after distressing the edges.
