Hi beautiful and creative girls ¡¡ Milagros is here from El Taller de Mila with my new inspiration for March.
March is the womens month and for this inspiration I share an Art Journal page with a great quote... "You are the artist of your life".
For bakground I work with fluid acrylics, texture paste over stencil ,for more texture and add more interest a background stamp for finish splash with quinacridona magenta color.
I work with clear gesso Liquitex, background stamp "Love" by Ranger, acrylic fluid by liquitex and Vallejo. Stabilo all black and stabilo all 8008.
The drawing of the girl is not mine this time is a magazine cut, I loved it and decided to work with it. The technique that I use to work with images of the magazine is after trimming and pasting on the background, I add gesso to it, I let it dry and then I work on the image adding color with watercolor and watercolor media. As you can see, I have worked with shades equal to the background using Prima Marketing watercolors. To add more dimension to the illustration I have reviewed the outer contours of the drawing with the pencil stabilo all black and the interiors with the stabilo all 8008, watering them.
I leave this technique because sometimes there are illustrations in magazines, newspapers that can be great to work on our art journals.
